FESTIVAL OF TREES!

Reeves-Reed Arboretum, a non-profit public garden in Summit, New Jersey will be celebrating the holiday season with its annual Festival of Trees: A Multicultural Celebration of the Holidays.  On Sunday, December 11, 2022, from 11 am – 3 pm, children and families are invited to come learn about Kwanza, Hanukkah, Christmas, and the Winter Solstice. 30+ trees will also be scattered throughout the historic grounds for guests to enjoy; each one decorated by a local non-profit, business, family, school, or scout group. Comunity Provides Support to Floridians Impacted by Hurricane Ian

Like many times before, the call went out and the residents of Chatham answered. I witnessed firsthand the selfless actions of our community doing what they do best, coming together in times of need. First responders come in all forms and this time, it was the members of the Chatham Community Forum who came running to help. A simple post triggered a frenzy of responses – sincere and heartfelt messages within minutes, followed by bags of clothes and anonymous grocery-store gift cards left on our porch within hours. Summit’s Santa Claus Shop Prepares to Help Deliver A Joyous Holiday to Locals in Need

For the 56th consecutive year, the Santa Claus Shop will open its doors to area families to provide complementary holiday shopping. The Shop serves more than 400 low-income families and senior citizens from Summit, New Providence, Berkeley Heights and other local communities. This year’s Santa Claus Shop will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 587 Springfield Avenue in Summit.
