The Summit Foundation board of trustees approved $369,946 in grants to 28 local organizations on June 3, 2025. Playing through heavy rain, Summit High School secured a 13–10 victory over Shawnee last month in the NJSIAA Group 3 state final, completing a three‑peat.
No. 2 Summit High School’s girls lacrosse team secured the NJSIAA Group 3 state title on Saturday with a 6–5 victory over Moorestown, capped by a dramatic goal from Parker Febo with two seconds remaining in regulation.

During the recent Township Committee Meeting, the Committee approved the appointments of two new Firefighters including the first female Firefighter in the history of the Department. The Committee also approved the appointment of a full-time Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
