Cranford Theater Begins Countdown to 100th Anniversary with Community Celebration

The Cranford Theater is kicking off its journey to a century of movie memories with a special community celebration marking 100 days until its 100th anniversary.

The milestone event will feature a complimentary screening of Paddington 2 on Thursday, August 20, with festivities beginning at 5:30 p.m. and the movie starting at 6:30 p.m.

Families can enjoy pre-show activities including face painting, temporary tattoos, photos with Paddington, and other family-friendly fun before settling in for the movie.

The celebration marks the beginning of a yearlong tribute to the Cranford Theater’s nearly 100 years of bringing entertainment and community connection to local residents.

As part of the anniversary celebration, the theater will also invite the community to participate in a Centennial Time Capsule, preserving memories, stories, and messages from theatergoers to become part of Cranford Theater history.
