Cranford Community Rallies for Charity

By Andrew Feldman Community spirit was on full display as more than 1,000 residents gathered at Union College on October 11 for the Cranford Jaycees’ 11th annual Oktoberfest fundraiser. The lively evening featured local food trucks, live music, and plenty of festive brews — all in the name of giving back. This year’s celebration raised more than $45,000 to support local causes, including the Cranford First Aid Squad. Young Swimmers Shine at the Inaugural Devilfish Classic Junior Meet

The Westfield Area YMCA Devilfish Swim Team recently hosted its first-everDevilfish Classic Junior meet, a new event designed to introduce the team’s youngest swimmers — those in the 8-and-under age group as well as participants from the Angelfish and Preteam programs — to the excitement of competition.
