Cranford Community Rallies for Charity
By Andrew Feldman
Community spirit was on full display as more than 1,000 residents gathered at Union College on October 11 for the Cranford Jaycees’ 11th annual Oktoberfest fundraiser. The lively evening featured local food trucks, live music, and plenty of festive brews — all in the name of giving back.
This year’s celebration raised more than $45,000 to support local causes, including the Cranford First Aid Squad. A portion of the proceeds also went to the Cranford Family Care fund, benefiting the families of Isabella Salas and Maria Niotis.
Organizers said the event’s continued success highlights Cranford’s strong sense of community and generosity. “Each year, Oktoberfest brings people together not just for fun, but for a purpose,” one Jaycees representative noted. “It’s incredible to see neighbors rally around such meaningful causes.”
