OVERLOOK HOSPITAL SAFE START CAR SEAT PROGRAM

The Summit Elks Charitable Foundation is honored to partner with Overlook Medical Center and sponsor the Safe Start Car Seat Safety Program.  Administered through the hospital’s HealthStart program, the Safe Start initiative works with families-in-need to ensure that infants and pediatric patients at Overlook receive a free and property-fitted car seat.  The program also connects families with car seat education through certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians to reduce preventable injuries and promote safety awareness throughout the community – motor vehicle crashes are a leading cause of death and injury among children.  The Summit Elks Charitable Foundation is proud to fund this effort to keep all children safe by eliminating a family’s financial barrier to an age-appropriate car seat.
