What’s on the Mind of a 17-Year-Old Author?

At 17, William H. Choi is putting some of life’s biggest questions on the page.

His first book, “I Am Growing,” brings together more than 100 conversations with his inner self, exploring identity, relationships, purpose, and personal growth.

William is the son of Alexander Choi of Harmony Meditation in Westfield. According to his Amazon biography, he has practiced meditation for nearly a decade.

The book’s description traces its beginnings to a period of uncertainty, when William turned to meditation and reflection. Morning questions became conversations that evolved alongside his understanding of himself.

The book invites readers to examine their own experiences and aspirations. For young adults navigating questions about who they are and where they are headed, it offers another young person’s perspective on finding a way forward.
