The 46th annual Cranford Jaycees road race had a record 2,216 participants

Thousands gathered on the Fourth of July for the 46th annual Cranford Jaycees Firecracker Road Race and Fun Run. The races had a record 2,216 participants with hundreds more cheering them on under clear skies at Nomahegan Park.

Many runners wore red, white, and blue gear to mark the patriotic holiday. Proceeds benefited the Jaycees’ scholarship fund, which awarded $50,000 in June to Cranford students attending college and trade schools.
