Meet Sadie
In every neighborhood, behind fences, perched in window sills, or trotting behind their humans, local pets bring life and charm to our community. Our furry, feathered, and scaled friends make up an important part of our community and we’d like to have the opportunity to introduce you to one of our beloved local pets.
Meet Sadie! She is a ten year old black lab mix who absolutely loves to play in the snow and snuggle up and get belly rubs from her family, John, Megan, Emily, Lizzie, and Jack, who have shared a little bit about their furry family member with us.
Where/why did you get your pet?
We rescued Sadie from St. Huberts when we heard that a bunch of puppies were looking to be adopted. There we saw Sadie and fell in love with her.
Anything special or unusual about your pet?
While Sadie is a black lab, she has white paws and the white the fur on her chest used to look kind of like a heart.
Any funny stories?
We have a ton of funny stories about Sadie. Most recently, she jumped up on the counter to eat half a stick of butter. Another story is actually about her in the snow, because when it snows she tends to get the zoomies and run around in circles. Once she actually stole a snow boot off of one of our feet while outside and refused to give it back as we chased her around in the snow.
What do you like best about your pet?
Honestly, Sadie acts the same as she did as a puppy and it’s adorable when she doesn’t realize how big she is and wants to just lay on our lap. She loves to snuggle and will attempt to squeeze herself into an armchair with you.
How has the pet enriched your life?
Sadie has enriched our lives just by being herself. She keeps things interesting and loves us just as much as we love her.
