Tell us about your family.

We are a family of four. My husband Joe was born in Livingston NJ, and I was born and raised in Monterrey Mexico, where I got my bachelor’s degree in International business.

Eleven years ago, I decided to move to the U.S. to continue my education and work. During that time, I met Joe. We fell in love and decided to become a family. We have two wonderful boys Joseph and Austin. They are eight and five years old. They were both born the same day but three years apart!

We moved to Chatham about three years ago to be close to Joe’s family, and I am so glad we did. We love being part of this wonderful community.

What do you like best about the community?

I love that everyone is so friendly, caring and supportive. My business, Sweetlove has been growing because of the support around us, the community likes our work and we make sure to deliver the best services for the neighborhood; we have also made great connections in such a short time, and friends that have become family.

Tell us about your business.

SweetLove was born in the middle of the pandemic when I was finally able to put all my ideas into work. But it wasn’t until this year that we went from an online gift shop into a Mobile Treat Bar cart service.

Our most popular service is our delicious Churros Bar. Guests get a freshly made, warm, and cinnamon sugar-coated churro, and choose from our wide variety of dipping sauces, and toppings to add to their churro. We also have a Donut Bar, Mini Pancakes and Flower Bar, we’re here to make your events sweeter.

What should our neighbors know about your company?

Our service is unique because we make sure every detail is made to perfection and personalized to our client’s preference. I put my heart into every single detail.  I want to make your special day one that you and your guests won’t forget.

Our cart attendants make sure our customers and guests are well taken care of, all they have to do is book our services and enjoy their event!

How did you decide in this industry?

Being from Mexico and coming from a family of great bakers and cooks, I couldn’t resist not sharing my delicious churros with the world! However, getting there wasn’t easy.  It took years to finally take the risk of starting a small business.  But it has been very rewarding; the love and support has been amazing and we are very grateful.

We are so looking forward to the future of our small business.

How can others learn from my success?

I am very open about my journey, and share my experience with others because I would’ve loved the help and support when I had no idea on how to start Sweetlove. We are still in the early stages, but growing faster than I thought.  I couldn’t be prouder of every step of this journey.

When I’m asked about what inspired me to start Sweetlove, the answer is always my boys.  They are my inspiration and biggest fans. They love to come help whenever they can, they never get tired from helping me with all the errands to make sure that everything is perfect for every event.

SweetLove is us, as a family, and I love that they enjoy being part of this.
