The 2024 CWC Scholarship recipients are (l. to r.) Caroline Morrelli, Shannon Gibbs, Erin Doherty, Caitlin Cabrales, Chloe Wiedman, Altai Abrams, Hannah Gerstel and Skyler Schaible. The College Woman’s Club of Westfield awarded $58,000 in scholarships at its annual meeting on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Echo Lake Country Club. The awards were presented to eight young women from Westfield to help them pursue their higher education. The recipients were selected based on academic achievement, leadership, and financial need. Hosted by Summit Downtown (SDI), FNN was back and better than ever, with a carnival-themed kid zone transforming Beechwood Road and Bank Street. Summit’s senior class of 2024 celebrated graduation day from Summit High School in a ceremony held at Investors Bank Field at Tatlock Park. The names of the graduates were called by Class Vice President Emily Griffith, Class President Emma Heimple and Class Secretary Maeve McTernan. The diplomas were presented by Principal Stacy Grimaldi, Superintendent of Schools Scott Hough, and Walidah Justice, president of the board of education.
