Summit EMS hosted a sold-out, free Community “Friends and Family CPR” event last month. The program highlighted the valuable role that friends and family members play in helping to save a life by learning key skills such as chest compressions, AED use, and choking response. The Summit community became safer as more residents gained knowledge of what to do in a cardiac emergency. In a remarkable 24-hour turnaround, the Summit Diner secured a $50,000 grant for exterior restoration, thanks to the swift action of Summit Downtown, Inc. Nancy Adams, Executive Director of Summit Downtown, Inc., coordinated the application process after Mayor Fagan and Councilwoman Hamlet alerted her to the opportunity.
