Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad: Hosts a Community CPR Event
Summit EMS hosted a sold-out, free Community “Friends and Family CPR” event last month. The program highlighted the valuable role that friends and family members play in helping to save a life by learning key skills such as chest compressions, AED use, and choking response. The Summit community became safer as more residents gained knowledge of what to do in a cardiac emergency. Attendees particularly enjoyed watching videos demonstrating each skill, followed by hands-on practice using mannequins. Summit EMS announced plans to host another session in late winter.
September was a busy month for the Squad, responding to 187 emergency calls in our community.
Summit EMS will be hosting a blood drive on Tuesday November 4th at their Headquarters, 1000 Summit Ave.
