Blue Devils Boys and Girls Lax Defeat Pingry on the Road to Capture Bristol and Blue Cups!

The Westfield boys lacrosse team defeated Pingry 12-4, snapping Pingry’s three-year Bristol Cup winning streak. The cup is named in honor of Toni Bristol, a legendary, highly respected lacrosse coach who helped launch Pingry’s program in the 1970s and later turned Westfield into a state powerhouse in the 1980s. The annual match-up dates back to 1986. The Westfield girls lacrosse team won their game vs Pingry a few hours later by the score of 12-9 to claim the inaugural Blue Cup.
