Deck the Halls is back on December 5

The Rake & Hoe Garden Club of Westfield is proud to announce the return of Deck the Halls, its signature holiday home tour, on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2026. Club members Regina Kelley and Kris Luka have been named co-chairs of this much-anticipated holiday event.

“Deck the Halls is a remarkable holiday home tour that combines stunning, original floral and holiday designs with exceptional local architecture,” said co-chair Regina Kelley. “This December, three beautiful private homes will open their doors to the public, each extraordinarily decorated for the season exclusively by our members.”

“This signature holiday event takes place only once every four years — and this is the year!” added co-chair Kris Luka.

Luka has been a member of the Rake & Hoe Garden Club since 1995 and has proudly served on nearly every committee in the organization. With a passion for flower arranging and creating artistic crafts from natural materials, she has also held a variety of leadership positions within Rake & Hoe, including serving two years as president.

Regina Kelley became a Rake & Hoe member before the club’s last Deck the Halls tour in 2022, when she was inspired by the beautiful designs created by club members. As the current chair of the Flower Design Committee and co-chair of Deck the Halls 2026, Kelley considers it a privilege to oversee this year’s activities alongside her co-chair.

“We are thrilled that Ms. Kelley and Ms. Luka have agreed to chair this important event,” said Rake & Hoe President Nina Sylvester. “They both possess the vision, organizational skills and local knowledge to help make this year’s tour a memorable experience for our guests.”

“I am so excited to co-chair this event,” said Luka. “Each of the homes is decorated exclusively by our members. Every wreath, centerpiece, garland and floral arrangement is handcrafted by club members, transforming each home into a unique holiday showcase. The event is the result of months of planning and hundreds of volunteer hours.”

On Dec. 5, the Rake & Hoe Garden Club will invite the public to tour three local homes beautifully decorated for the holidays. Guests will also have the opportunity to shop at the Natures Beauty market, a boutique featuring unique seasonal items handcrafted exclusively by club members.

Proceeds from Deck the Halls 2026 will support the club’s numerous community service projects benefiting youth, seniors and veterans. These projects include maintaining local community gardens, creating floral arrangements for Mobile Meals, leading craft activities at Jardine Academy, managing plantings at the NJ Veterans Memorial Home, and supporting the Rake & Hoe Juniors in youth-focused gardening activities.
