Overlook Auxiliary Announces 2026–2027 Board of Trustees
The Overlook Auxiliary is pleased to announce its incoming Board of Trustees for the 2026–2027 term. With approximately 300 active members, the Overlook Auxiliary has contributed more than $21 million to the Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center (AHOMC) community since its inception, supporting initiatives that enhance the experience of patients, caregivers, and team members.
Reflecting on her two-year tenure as President, outgoing President Melissa Hartzell-Galileo shared her gratitude for the members, volunteers, Board, and supporters who make the Auxiliary’s work possible.
“The most rewarding part of my tenure has been serving alongside an extraordinary Board, our dedicated members and volunteers, and the many supporters whose passion and commitment make such a meaningful impact on our community. I am incredibly proud of all that we have accomplished together and grateful to have been part of an organization that leads with compassion and service. I look forward to continuing to support the amazing work of the Auxiliary and watching it thrive for years to come.”
Meghan Schorr, who will serve as President for the 2026–2028 term, looks forward to building on the Auxiliary’s longstanding commitment to AHOMC and the community.
“I am thrilled to be stepping into the role of Overlook Auxiliary President. AHOMC is a critical part of our community, and I look forward to continuing to support the patient, caregiver, and team member experience. The women serving on the Overlook Auxiliary Board are passionate, creative, driven, and giving. I am honored to stand beside them and continue our legacy of supporting a compassionate and comforting environment throughout AHOMC.”
The Auxiliary’s commitment to the future extends beyond its Board and membership. Through its Jr. Twig program, the organization introduces young people to the power of volunteerism and community service while providing meaningful opportunities to support AHOMC.
Erin Donadio and Lillian Chern, who will co-chair the Jr. Twig program this term are excited about the program’s continued growth and the impact its young volunteers are already making.
“We are incredibly excited to continue growing our Jr. Twigs program in the coming year and to watch our students’ passion for service create an even greater impact throughout our hospital and community. With approximately 275 dedicated high school volunteers, the possibilities are truly limitless. From supporting critical medical needs and helping address food insecurity to finding meaningful ways to care for hospital staff, our Jr. Twigs continue to prove that young people can make a remarkable difference. We look forward to building on that momentum, welcoming new ideas, and empowering our students to dream big, lead with compassion, and make their mark through service.”
The incoming Board of Trustees will continue the Auxiliary’s tradition of service, philanthropy, and community engagement while building on the organization’s strong foundation and looking toward its future.
