College Men’s Club Holding Its 23rd Annual “Friday Night at the Fights”
A typical holiday cocktail? Easily 300+ calories, sometimes moThe Westfield College Men’s Club (CMC) has announced that tickets are still available for its 23rd annual Boxing Night fundraiser, which is set for Friday, February 6th. Doors will open at 6:30 pm and the first fight should commence at 7:30 pm. The bouts will once again be held at the Kenilworth Veteran’s Center at 33 South 21st Street in Kenilworth, NJ. “Friday Night at the Fights” has traditionally been the CMC’s largest annual fundraiser and last year grossed over $70,000 to benefit the club’s scholarship fund.
There are two advance purchase options available:
RINGSIDE TABLES: There are still a few tables available for purchase. These tables traditionally sell out quickly and are reserved on a first come, first served basis. Each table holds eight people and costs $2,000.
INDIVIDUAL TICKETS: Individual tickets are available for $250 each. Only 100 individual tickets are made available for sale and traditionally completely sell out prior to the event.
All event tickets include dinner and soft drinks. There will be a cash bar for the purchase of beer, wine, and mixed drinks. A 50/50 raffle will also be conducted during the evening. Anyone interested in purchasing a table or an individual ticket should contact Patrick Quay either by email at patrick.quay@ey.com or via text at 646-491-2182. The Westfield CMC accepts credit cards and Venmo @CMCWestfield for payment. No reservation is final for tables or individual tickets until payment is received.
This event completely sold out the last three times it has been held, so those interested in attending should purchase their tickets promptly. Individual tickets will also be available at the door for $20, but do not include dinner or refreshments and will be restricted based on remaining seating availability. The CMC again wishes to thank their Platinum Sponsor, Ray Catena Mercedes Benz of Union and their Gold Sponsors, Rumble Boxing of Westfield, and the Isoldi Collection for their generous support of this event.
The College Men’s Club of Westfield was established in 1922 and over the past century has helped hundreds of Westfield young men by providing college tuition assistance and funding standardized test preparatory courses. Since its founding, the CMC has raised and distributed over $1.5 million in higher education assistance to young men of the Westfield community to attend over 130 institutions of higher learning. In 2025 the CMC awarded a total of $85,050 in four-year scholarships and one-time grants.
Scholarship applications are available through local high school guidance departments in February of each year and are evaluated by a committee of CMC Trustees each Spring. Funds for scholarships come from fund raising events, donations, membership dues, endowment investment income, and legacy bequests.
