Summit
Ten Summit High School seniors signed National Letters of Intent on Wednesday, marking their official commitments to continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level next year.
The ceremony, held Nov. 12 at Summit High School, recognized athletes across five sports. District officials praised the group for years of work in the classroom and in competition.
The student-athletes and their commitments are:
- Mary Manahan, College of the Holy Cross, lacrosse
- Ryan Bancone, Saint Joseph’s University, lacrosse
- Robbie Kievit, Fairfield University, lacrosse
- Mackenna Welsh, Taylor University, volleyball
- John Conniff, Providence College, lacrosse
- Emma Busam, Arizona State University, lacrosse
- Francesca Arcella, Colgate University, lacrosse
- Sara Scallon, University of Vermont, lacrosse
- Audrey Carrigan, Lafayette College, cross-country and track and field
- Jake Reimold, Sacred Heart University, lacrosse
National Signing Day is considered a milestone in high school athletics, marking the moment recruits officially join the programs that have recruited them and begin the next phase of their academic and athletic careers.
