A newly curated display case at the Westfield Memorial Library highlights the Westfield United Fund’s enduring presence in the community since its founding in 1937.

Carefully curated by Erin and Ginny Malley with support from the Westfield Historical Society, the display will be up through the end of October. It coincides with the kickoff of WUF’s annual campaign, during which they will aim to raise $500,000 for 17 local social service agencies.

Inside, visitors will find treasures from WUF’s history, including their very first campaign letter from 1938, vintage posters and photos, and stories of how WUF has helped Westfield through challenges like 9/11 and COVID. The case also looks ahead, highlighting their upcoming Westfield United by Light event — a town wide effort hosted on Nov. 16 to raise funds for mental health support.
