YMCA Flyers Track Club Shines at National Junior Olympics
The Westfield Area YMCA Flyers Track Club delivered standout performances at the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships in Savannah, Georgia, this July, earning personal bests and setting records on the national stage.
Competing against some of the country’s top young athletes, the Flyers demonstrated speed, endurance, and determination throughout the meet.
The club, led by USATF-certified coaches, serves hundreds of local athletes ages 7 to 15 year-round. Runners learn the fundamentals of distance running as well as techniques for off-track competition, while more experienced members advance through conditioning and specialized training.
