Limitless Lisa’s Next Chapter Dean Mauriello Launches Ambitious ALS Journey from Coast to Coast
In Summer 2025, Dean Mauriello continues the work he began last year in honor of his late mother, Lisa Stockman‑Mauriello, through Limitless Lisa, a local ALS‑awareness initiative based in Summit.
Last year, TapInto Summit reported on the “Sea of Blue” event—a family‑led effort that mobilized the Summit community to raise awareness and support in memory of Lisa. That story introduced Dean’s commitment and the impact of Lisa’s fight with a rare, fast‑progressing form of ALS.
One year later, Dean is broadening the scope: from July 16 through August 16, 2025, he is driving from State College, PA to San Diego, CA, visiting over 25 states and interviewing ten individuals living with ALS. Along the route—through Columbus, Chicago, Portland, Reno, Phoenix, Atlanta, Charlotte — he will capture the personal journeys of people affected by ALS, sharing their resilience through on‑camera interviews, photos, and stories.
“That story introduced Dean’s commitment and the impact of Lisa’s fight with a rare, fast‑progressing form of ALS.”
His goals are straightforward yet powerful:
• Raise national awareness of ALS and its impact on patients and communities.
• Support ALS United through fundraising for patient services and research.
• Amplify hope by showcasing strength among families, caregivers, and advocates.
Dean emphasizes that this coast-to-coast project will give voice to diverse ALS experiences and shine a light on the human spirit behind the disease. He plans to share videos, photo galleries, and behind-the-scenes moments throughout the journey.
Residents of Summit and surrounding communities are encouraged to follow along, connect with the stories of ALS warriors, and support the cause. Dean is making background materials, schedules, and interviews available so that his hometown community can stay engaged and inspired by this meaningful effort.
