What is NJ GreekFest?
Serving up “a taste of Greece right in your backyard,” NJ GreekFest, hosted by Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Westfield, offers guests an array of delicious Greek food — from dinners and gyros to baked goods, coffees and desserts and much more — as well as Greek dancing and music, activities for kids, a marketplace and a MEGA 50/50 RAFFLE with a grand prize of $10,000.
How long has this event taken place?
Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church has hosted the annual event since 1972, said Anthe Angelides, festival manager.
Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, under the guidance of Fr. Delvizis, presiding priest, is the spiritual home to more than 400 Orthodox Christian families. The church’s dynamic community offers spiritual, educational, athletic and/or social activities for every age group.
“We are excited to welcome the local community to our annual NJ GreekFest, where everyone can experience the warmth and hospitality of Greece right here in Westfield,” Fr. Peter Delvizis said. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for people of all backgrounds to come together, enjoy delicious food and lively music, and celebrate our cultural traditions.”
What are the dates of the event?
NJ GreekFest will be held this year on Friday, May 30; Saturday, May 31; and Sunday, June 1.
