Where/why did you get your pet?

We got our cats during the pandemic two years ago from the Cat Crew Rescue. They are a super fantastic organization that helps to house abandoned cats. I had been asking for a cat for many years and my parents finally decided that we could get one. Luckily for me, Cipher had a sister who also needed a home, so I ended up with two cats.

Anything special or unusual about your pet?

Cipher has a sister named Riddle, and sometimes he steals her food. He grew bigger, and so we started calling him Chonk. The name stuck and now he only responds to Chonk and not Cipher.

Any funny stories?

One time, a wasp got into our house and Cipher jumped on a high cabinet to chase after it. Unfortunately, he lost the battle and got stung. He was completely fine after five minutes, but I cried for an hour. He was my brave hero that day.

What do you like best about your pet?

Chonk is a very good lap cat, so when I am doing homework or studying, he keeps me from getting too stressed.

How has the pet enriched your life?

Everyone in my family loves our cats so much. We call them the babies and they fill the room with so much personality. Cipher is always there to chill with you if you need it.
