Flower Power

Blooms

at Reeves-Reed Arboretum’s Annual Daffodil Day Festival!

As winter melts away and the sun begins to warm the earth, there’s no better way to welcome the arrival of spring than by reveling in the beauty of one of nature’s first spring blooms – daffodils!

Reeves-Reed Arboretum invites the community to join in the festivities of its annual Daffodil Day Festival on Sunday, April 14, from 11 am to 3 pm, a vibrant celebration of spring’s arrival and the resplendent daffodil flower.

Daffodil Day is a decades-old tradition in Summit when visitors to the Arboretum have an opportunity to enjoy one of the largest daffodil collections in New Jersey – over 50,000 bulbs in bloom in the Arboretum’s glacially carved Daffodil Bowl! Established in 1974, this year is extra special as the Arboretum celebrates its 50th Anniversary as a public arboretum.

The day’s focus on “Flower Power’’ will inject a 1970s theme into the festival’s activities, so feel free to embrace the fun theme and come dressed in your vintage threads, tie-dye t-shirts, and bellbottom denims. The day is going to be outta sight!
