at Reeves-Reed Arboretum\u2019s Annual Daffodil Day Festival!<\/strong><\/p>\n

As winter melts away and the sun begins to warm the earth, there\u2019s no better way to welcome the arrival of spring than by reveling in the beauty of one of nature\u2019s first spring blooms \u2013 daffodils!<\/p>\n

Reeves-Reed Arboretum invites the community to join in the festivities of its annual Daffodil Day Festival on Sunday, April 14, from 11 am to 3 pm, a vibrant celebration of spring\u2019s arrival and the resplendent daffodil flower.<\/p>\n

Daffodil Day is a decades-old tradition in Summit when visitors to the Arboretum have an opportunity to enjoy one of the largest daffodil collections in New Jersey \u2013 over 50,000 bulbs in bloom in the Arboretum\u2019s glacially carved Daffodil Bowl! Established in 1974, this year is extra special as the Arboretum celebrates its 50th Anniversary as a public arboretum.<\/p>\n

The day\u2019s focus on \u201cFlower Power\u2019\u2019 will inject a 1970s theme into the festival\u2019s activities, so feel free to embrace the fun theme and come dressed in your vintage threads, tie-dye t-shirts, and bellbottom denims. The day is going to be outta sight!<\/p>\n

What to Expect<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dazzling Daffodils<\/strong><\/p>\n

Be prepared to be mesmerized by the breathtaking sight of thousands of daffodils adorning the Arboretum\u2019s landscape in a riot of colors \u2013 from the traditional golden hues to the rarest shades of yellow, white, and peach. Over 50,000 daffodils bloom every year at Reeves-Reed Arboretum.<\/p>\n

Entertainment <\/strong><\/p>\n

From educational performances for all ages to engaging and interactive activities for the children, the festival promises non-stop fun that will keep you smiling from ear to ear. The Green Goats from Rhinebeck will also be here!<\/p>\n

Sample delectable treats from local vendors offering a diverse array of culinary delights, as well as merchandise from local artisans including candles, jewelry, home accessories, art, goat soap products and more.<\/p>\n

Take the Daffodil Day History Walk along the Arboretum\u2019s wildflower trail and learn all about the history of daffodils on this historic property. Photo Opportunities<\/strong><\/p>\n

Capture priceless moments amidst the sea of daffodils, and create lasting memories with friends and loved ones against the backdrop of nature\u2019s splendor. Bruce Lorenz, an award winning photographer, will also be on hand for professional photos at a nominal fee that will be donated back to the Arboretum.<\/p>\n
